As part of the field follow-up to the implementation of the project to develop the spinning and weaving sector, Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of Public Business Sector, conducted an inspection tour of the development sites in the Helwan Spinning and Weaving Complex resulting from the merger of the “Misr Helwan Spinning and Weaving” companies, the Egyptian Spinning and Weaving “Wolkets” and El Nasr Spinning and Weaving companies. El-Shorbagy, and Misr Equipment Company that produces some production requirements.
The complex is considered one of the companies planned to implement a number of activities in the supply chain; It consists of weaving, dyeing, processing and detailing, It also includes a technical school supervised by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. In addition to the training center, which is part of the development plan to ensure the rehabilitation of workers on how to use the new machines that keep pace with the latest technology in this field.
The Helwan Complex project includes the establishment of a dyeing, processing and detailing factory and a textile factory on an area of 30,000 square metres. And that at an estimated cost of about 600 million pounds, including modern machines.
