Hisham Tawfik, Minister of Public Business Sector, received at the Ministry headquarters, Mr. Oka Hiroshi, the new Ambassador of Japan to Cairo, In order to explore opportunities for joint cooperation.
The two parties discussed opportunities and possible areas of cooperation between the companies of the Ministry of Public Business Sector and Japanese companies in many sectors and industrial and investment activities.
Tawfiq explained some of the reform measures taken by the ministry to improve the management of companies and improve their performance. Including the amendments to the law regulating the work of public business sector companies, which aimed to seek similarity in the rules and methods of management in these companies with those of the private sector. In addition to developing a new business model for some companies in line with the nature of their activities and in line with industrial development.
The minister referred to the efforts to produce electric vehicles, establish public charging stations, and the incentives approved by the government to encourage the use of electric vehicles. As well as investment opportunities in the electric vehicle components industry and the hotel sector, and in this context, Tawfik emphasized his welcome to cooperate with Japanese investors, not only in financing projects, but also in partnership with expertise in the field of management.
