The Ministry of Public Business Sector sponsors, A project to transform a spinning factory in Fayoum that was closed for several years into a complex of 14 workshops for the production of ready-made garments.
The complex will be built on an area of 21,000 meters at a development cost of 80 million pounds. It is scheduled to be ready for commissioning before November 1, 2022.
The project aims to employ about 3000 workers, most of whom are girls and women. It is implemented by the Nidaa Foundation within the framework of the “Forsa” program for economic empowerment of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
The Ministry of Public Business Sector, In coordination with Fadel Marzouk, one of the businessmen in the garment industry, to work on the engineering designs for the complex. Which will start operating for a group of ready-made garments and textiles exporters.
The Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector intends to replicate this model in untapped areas in the factories of its subsidiaries. The most prominent of these is an untapped area belonging to the “Misr Helwan Spinning and Weaving” company, in contrast to the development being implemented by the company within the project to develop the spinning and weaving sector in the companies affiliated with the ministry.
