Hisham Tawfik, Minister of Public Business Sector, held a meeting with the founders of the “Egypt Electric Car Charging Stations” company, to follow up on the final procedures for the establishment and developments of the tender offered between companies qualified to operate, manage and contribute to the capital of the “Egypt Electric Car Charging Stations” company, which was decided to extend its term Until Wednesday, August 31, 2022, to receive the companies’ offers, in the presence of Ayman Soliman, Executive Director of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, Basil El Heni, Executive Managing Director of Misr Insurance Holding Company, and representatives of Hassan Allam Holding Group.
Misr Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Company aims to establish and operate 3,000 dual chargers as a first stage within 18 months, covering all highways and the governorates of Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.
The winning company will bid. by assigning a specialized expert house to select the stations’ sites from an initial list of more than 2,000 sites.
The shareholder structure of the Shipping Stations Company is divided between the Sovereign Fund of Egypt and the Misr Insurance Holding Group at 30% each. and 20% for one of the companies of the Hassan Allam Holding Group, With a capital of 120 million pounds, it will be increased after selecting the technical partner to 150 million pounds.
