He explained that the first conference was held with African leaders in 2014 in order to emphasize partnership with African countries. Eight years after this meeting, the world has changed in more than one way. We are dealing with the consequences of the epidemic, wars and instability, there is food insecurity, there is climate change, and all these crises emphasize the important role of Africa and its peoples in facing global challenges. We cannot solve these challenges without African leaders at the table with us.
