It was necessary for the state and the government to work in order to achieve an additional surplus. With an average of about 15% of the volume of natural gas pumped to power stations, Throughout the year, So that we can increase the volume of export of natural gas, Thus providing foreign exchange to the state, It can ease pressure on the hard currency as a result of the rise in the prices of petroleum products and major commodities.

In this context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly explained that more than one meeting was held with officials of the Ministries of Electricity and Petroleum to discuss the measures that can be taken in this regard. Where the government proceeded to start by itself in rationalizing the consumption of electricity in government buildings and public facilities, Addressing the governors: This file is entirely your responsibility in terms of reviewing and following up the implementation of the decisions taken by the government in this regard. Especially with regard to the rationalization of electricity consumption in the major malls that use the central air conditioning system, as well as adherence to summer timings, In addition to following up on clubs and youth centers to ensure the implementation of decisions related to rationalizing electricity consumption in them, as well as covered halls, illuminated by floodlights, And stadiums that consume significantly electricity.

In this context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly directed the development of an executive plan in each governorate to follow up on procedures for rationalizing electricity consumption in public facilities, clubs, youth centers, and others. Taking into account the evaluation of those procedures in achieving the state’s objectives for providing electricity.

The Prime Minister said: Whenever we can rationalize our consumption of electricity, we will succeed in saving foreign exchange; If, for example, we save 10% on gas consumption, This will save about $300 million per month by exporting it abroad. Also, if we save 15%, we will save 450 million dollars, Pointing out that we need to provide foreign exchange in light of the high prices of grain and petroleum products; The current Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

Stressing, in this regard, that every new road project to be implemented will have as one of its main components the cultivation of the central island with suitable trees, or on either side, And in coordination with the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture in the selection of tree species.

The Prime Minister also indicated that in a meeting regarding this initiative, it was directed to prepare a clear plan for afforestation of new axes and roads. or those that are being upgraded in the governorates, Taking into account the need to have an appropriate code for the type of trees that will be planted, Stressing that the success of the initiative depends on the active participation of all governmental and non-governmental agencies; In order to work on doubling the citizen’s share of green spaces at the level of the Republic, improve air quality, making the most economical use of trees, Improving the general health of citizens.

In this context, The Prime Minister directed that each governorate adopt the idea of ​​establishing a central park in the capitals of the governorates and major cities to provide a green lung with large areas for citizens in these cities and regions.
