The minister said that there are great opportunities to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of developing small and medium enterprises, industrial training, and establishing logistic areas, in addition to attracting more tourists from Serbia to Egypt and providing medical tourism programs. Pointing to the possibility of cooperation between the private sector in the two countries in the fields of automobile industry, agriculture, medical supplies, communications and information technology.
Gamea pointed out that the meeting stressed the importance of increasing the rates of intra-regional trade and facilitating the movement of trade exchange between the two countries. As well as activating the role of the Serbian Joint Business Council in a way that contributes to benefiting from all the investment and commercial components and opportunities in the two countries and translating them into concrete cooperation projects that are in the interest of the Egyptian and Serbian economies alike.
Nevin Gamea The volume of trade exchange between the two countries last year, 79.7 million dollars
The minister noted that the rates of trade exchange between Egypt and Serbia amounted to about 79.7 million dollars in 2021, of which 42.4 million dollars are Egyptian exports and 37.4 million dollars are imports. Noting that the most important items of trade exchange between the two countries include phosphates, vegetables, fruits, plastics, fertilizers, tobacco, machinery and electrical appliances.
Gamea pointed out the possibility of benefiting from the Serbian market as a hub for the entry of Egyptian exports to the markets of eastern and southern European countries. Pointing out that there is a great opportunity to increase Egyptian exports to Serbia, especially with regard to petrochemical products, medical preparations, salt, polyethylene, building materials and engineering goods.
The Minister of Trade and Industry explained that Serbia is participating in the Egyptian market in projects with a capital of 47 million dollars, in the sectors of industry, services, construction, tourism, communications, information technology and agriculture.

She pointed to the importance of building on the distinguished political relations linking the two countries, as well as benefiting from the great economic potentials and potentials of Egypt and Serbia and translating them into concrete cooperation projects that serve the interest of the peoples of the two countries.
