The Minister received a report from Shahat Ghaturi, Head of the Customs Authority, In it, he indicated that the Central Administration of Alexandria Customs, headed by Ahmed Al-Qarnasawy, It released 11,514 customs certificates during last June, for strategic goods, production supplies, general merchandise, Such as : Threads, textiles, electrical appliances, plastic receivers, and petroleum products, Cars, spare parts, etc.
The report added that the taxes and customs fees for the certificates imported into Alexandria Customs amounted to one billion and 850 million and 455 thousand pounds. While the value-added taxes amounted to 3 billion and 909 million and 899 thousand pounds. Other fees for these certificates amounted to about one billion and 247 million and 872 thousand pounds.
The report indicated that the General Administration of Exports at Alexandria Customs, It exported 7,898 covered customs declarations during last June, For various types of goods and general merchandise such as «Natural sands, juices, cosmetic, and poultry feed”; With a total value of 17 billion and 147 million and 294 thousand pounds, While the collected export fees amounted to about 876,000 pounds.
The report indicated that the total taxes, customs duties, taxes and other fees collected at Alexandria Customs last June amounted to 7 billion and 31 million pounds.
