Dr. Dina Yaqout, head of the General Committee for Business Women in the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that On the importance of expanding the services provided by the committee to women and university graduates in setting up projects and their entry into the formal economy through a productive and existing project that has a commercial registry and a tax card, and this is one of the most important goals of the committee since its inception.
During the committee meeting, Yaqout reviewed the committee’s strategy during the remaining months of 2022, which focuses on expanding women’s financing programs and training them to set up projects in all governorates in cooperation with all parties, as well as erasing women’s digital illiteracy in light of the digital transformation that the state is currently implementing and introducing the tax bill. How to deal with it and help women manage their projects.
The Chairperson of the Business Women’s Committee added, Since the establishment of the committee, it has carried out many activities aimed at raising the level of women through meeting with Engineer Tariq Shash, Vice President of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Authority, meeting with Mohamed El-Ashmawy, Vice President of Nasser Social Bank, and signing a protocol with the bank to grant a hidden loan and participate in community initiatives Affiliate for a decent life and participate in the Entrepreneurship Conference “She Can” at the American University .In the opening of the Training and Employment Center under the auspices of Al-Futtaim Company in Almaza Mall, the Lithuania Social Responsibility Conference, the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference at Expo Dubai 2020, and the participation in the 21st Businesswomen’s Conference at the Museum of Civilizations, with the Polish Investment Committee, and at the Egyptian-Emirati Business Conference Dubai 2022, and as a keynote speaker at the Conference of Islamic Chambers and the Union Meeting Ukrainian Chambers in Ismailia, In the meeting of the Omani delegation, participation in the Conference of Chambers Federations in Belarus and Romania, in the Conference on Entrepreneurship and Digitization at Suez Canal University, and in the initiative of “Voice of 50 Million African Women in the COMESA” initiative, and the signing of a cooperation agreement in the name of 5 Chambers to form the Egyptian Women Entrepreneurs Association.
The committee also participated in workshops in Cairo and Alexandria on how to register trademarks, the Egyptian-Pakistani and Egyptian-Lithuanian Friendship Day, the Swedish Embassy’s Women’s Day, the Intra-African Trade and Investment Forum, the Egyptian-Czech Business Forum, and discussed ways of joint cooperation with the President of the Saudi Northern Border Chamber.
The meeting also reviewed the efforts made by members of the general committee, heads of women’s committees in a number of chambers of commerce.
